Hi,

I'm as for a friend. He got the 30 day visa on arrival. He already did the 30 day extension on koh phangan. If he do the border run to Malaysia and enter Thailand by land, will he get a 15 or 30 days stamp? Thank you🙏

Your friend did not get a 30 day visa on arrival because that doesn't exist.

Your friend got a 30 day visa exempt stamp because they are from one of the visa exempt eligible countries.

If they leave and return to Thailand they will receive a new 30 day visa exempt stamp and can apply for another 30 day extension.

Some borders with Malaysia have been reported to require you to spend the night in Malaysia before returning to Thailand.

You are limited to entering Thailand without a visa (visa exempt) only 2 times per calendar year at a land border.
