Can I still do a border run at Mae Sai and how many days will I get?
Anyone knows if border run at Measai can still be done? And if so, are we getting as many days as by air?

Hi, just wondering if you ended doing a Maesai run? My family is leaving next week (for good) but we just realized our visa is expiring Sunday. 🤦🏼♀️ We we’re thinking of going to the border to get 15 extra days (US passports).

since Dec 31st 2016 people get 30 days by land again BUT there is a limit of TWO 30 day visa exempt entries in a calendar year.
This means that as of Jan 1st you can bounce TWO times for 30 day visa exempt entries by land.
No problems at Mae Sai - Tachiliek bouncing out and in.

And it goes without saying that you have to be from one of the 51 countries that actually CAN bounce out and back at a land border to get a 30 day visa exempt entry :P
