My apologies if this question has posted previously...

Is there a recommended number of days prior to the expiration date of the current visa that one should go to the immigration office to submit for the extension with the letter from the consulate?

Will be using the Phuket office.

Thanks in advance for your responses.

Answer summary

It is recommended to visit the Phuket immigration office one or two days before your visa expiration date to submit your extension application. Many users have reported that this timing helps due to the high volume of visitors at the offices.

Take hand sanitiser. Use it before and after touching anything.

Try not to get too close to others.

Wear a mask if possible.

Take your own pen.

Take your own water

Any other tips?

Yes...one or two days before your end date.

Due to extremely busy offices.

Most offices are telling people to show up one or two days before the expiration date of their current stamp to get the "unable to travel due to covid-19" extension stamp.
