I need to make a decision in the next week or so whether to fly back to the UK or get a 30 day extension to my visa exemption (I did not have a cancelled flight).
How many days before my visa exemption expires do I need to go to Immigration? (I'm staying in Bangkok, so Lak Si, I believe) The Iran War & my health are making it a tricky decision which I'd like to leave as late as possible. Thanks.

TLDR : Answer Summary
To extend your visa exemption in Bangkok, you can apply for an extension when you have 45 days or less remaining on your current visa stamp. You should go to the Immigration office located at IT Square Laksi Plaza on the 3rd floor. It's advisable to visit the office as close to the expiration date as possible, without going over the 45-day mark.

In Bangkok you can go for an extension when you have 45 days or less left on your current stamp <- meaning from 45 days before the stamp expires right on down to the last day it's good for.
In Bangkok you go to IT Square Laksi Plaza 3rd floor. There are copy/photo shops next to the immigration office and you can get in to the building before the mall opens on the ground floor in front by the 7 Eleven then take the elevator to the left up to the 3rd floor..
