Hi, I received a 60-day visa exemption on arrival and have been in Thailand for 3 weeks now. Can I just go to Immigration now to extend my visa for another 30 days, or do I need to wait until closer to its expiration, like 10 days before or something? Thank you. ๐Ÿ™

TLDR : Answer Summary
You can apply for a 30-day extension of your 60-day visa exemption at an immigration office in Thailand, but it's recommended to do so when you have 30 days or less remaining on your visa. Therefore, waiting until closer to your visa's expiration is advisable, ideally after being in Thailand for a month.

At most immigration offices (other than Samui and Jomtien) you can apply for an extension when you have 30 days or less left on your stamp

So I'd say after you've been here a month you can head over to your immigration office and apply for the 30 day extension for 1900baht
