How long should I budget for the Thai visa application process in Vietnam, Jakarta, or Cambodia?

For anyone that applied in Vietnam, Jakarta, or Cambodia, how much time did you budget for the application process? I'm trying to determine whether I should book for 1 week or 2 weeks.

I'm a cryptocurrency trader and liquidated ~700k THB and deposited it into my personal checking account, however I don't receive a consistent paycheck. Ideally I would like to apply at an embassy that accepts 1 month bank statement. Spoke with a law firm in Bangkok (Baan Thai) and they recommended applying in Vietnam. They said Vietnam is fast (5 days) and although they require 6 month bank bank statement, they are only concerned with the final closing balance.

However, I've read posts on here stating that Jakarta accepts 1 month bank statement and is quite fast as well.

Could anyone share their experience or recommendation?

For context, I'm applying under Muay Thai Soft Power through FITFAC. Course is paid in full for 9 months. US citizen.

TLDR : Answer Summary
A user is seeking advice on how much time to budget for their Thai visa application while applying from Vietnam, Jakarta, or Cambodia. They mentioned being a cryptocurrency trader with a significant amount of funds in their account but lacking a consistent paycheck, which influences their choice of embassy based on bank statement requirements. Comments provide insights from others who have applied recently, indicating that Jakarta can be as quick as 3 days, Vietnam about 5 days, and Cambodia around 10 business days. Experience varies between applicants, with some reporting rapid processing in Vietnam, especially in Ha Noi.

3 working days via HCMC

Spent 10 days there in total but 4 of those were Tet holiday. Submitted on 29th last month. Started to be processed on the 3rd of this month. Approved on the evening of the 5th.

Ooof. Is there a reason why you chose HCMC over Hanoi?

+1 for Vietnam. I got my approval in less than 24 hours in Ha Noi. Very easy process and clear instructions given by the embassy for additional document submission. I basically bought one way ticket and booked the hotel for 5 days, ended up just sightseeing for the remainder of the time.

24 hours is record time! 🤯

It seems Ha Noi is much more convenient that HCMC. My high school classmate is a US diplomat there so might be worth the trek. I'll report back if I can beat 24 hrs😂
