Quick update: as I heard , the embassy in hcmc vietnam takes quite long. Since everyone is now rushing to this embassy because they think it's faster. So now It's been 6 or 7 days now and some people still haven't got their dtv. Just to let you guys know. Maybe Taiwan or Jakarta will be quicker now.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The Thai embassy in Ho Chi Minh City is currently experiencing delays, with reports suggesting it takes around 6 to 7 days for some to receive their visa. Many are opting for this embassy due to perceived speed, but the increased demand has contributed to the backlog. Some users noted quicker processing times in other locations like Taipei or Jakarta, while others discussed their experiences, highlighting that obtaining a visa online isn't necessarily faster and that delays can occur if additional documents are requested.

I do not think it has changed really. If they ask for additional documents, the clock resets.

- it has been 5 business days for months. There were two holidays in the last two weeks, therefore not considered “business days”.

To be fair this could be 7 working days, still waiting and probably had timer reset again. Could be useful information for some, it was/is for me as I need somewhere to go before 31st.
