Hi,

I have lodged an application for my DTV, as a dependent on my finance visa, but we are not married. I want to withdrawal my application and apply for my own DTV as a brand new applicant (as I now know this won’t be approved as we are not legally married)

My question is, can I withdrawal my old application and apply again? Or do I need to wait till the application is rejected? I’m mvoing there really soon, and still not got my visa sorted. If anyone has any advice please.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user wants to withdraw their dependent visa application for a DTV since they are not legally married to their sponsor. They inquire whether they can withdraw the application and submit a new one or if they must wait for the old application to be rejected. Community advice suggests that if they have not paid the application fee, they can let the application expire and start a new one. However, if the fee has been paid, they may not be able to withdraw it.

Have you submitted the application and paid the fee? If so, you're out of luck. If you haven't paid yet, then just let that application expire, the system will delete it in a few weeks. Meantime start a new application in your evisa profile.
