When applying for a COE, with a visa exemption from the UK.
Would it be OK for the return flight to be 75 days after arrival, or 45, as I am planning for the 30 day extension ?
Regards..

TLDR : Answer Summary
The question concerns whether one can apply for a Certificate of Entry (COE) with a return flight date 75 days after arrival in Thailand, given a visa exemption from the UK and a plan to extend the stay by 30 days. Comments reveal varying opinions: some assert that it is necessary to have a flight back within 45 days to avoid boarding denial, while others mention that prior to Covid, they had successfully used a 60-day return ticket without issue. There's uncertainty regarding regulations at embassies and how knowledge of extension policies may differ among them.
The embassy “should” know that you can get a 30 day extension from immigration and therefore allow you to apply with a ticket for 75 days. I put it in quotes because not all embassies know the actual rules and some have sent out info graphics stating incorrectly that you can’t get extensions off a visa exemption.
