Answer summary

The time it takes to cancel an ED visa in Chiang Mai can vary. Once you reach the immigration officer, the actual cancellation process takes about 10-15 minutes. However, it is advisable to plan for half a day due to potential waiting times in line, which can be unpredictable.

It takes as long as it takes. No one can predict how many people are waiting in the queue ahead of you, or how long each of those people will be in front of an officer.

I'd say plan on half a day and if it's done sooner you're good to go.
