Hello, I could use some advice for how long it has took people previously to be approved for DTV in Ho Chi Minh.

I applied 27th August and recieved further document requests on 29th September. I’m aware Monday & Tuesday were Vietnam public holidays, but my flight is booked to Bangkok Friday morning.

I can change it for free but not sure how far in advance to change it until. Any advice would be appreciated thanks

Answer summary

A user seeks advice on the approval time for a DTV visa after applying in Ho Chi Minh City, mentioning a request for additional documents after a month. Community responses emphasize the importance of waiting for visa approval before booking flights and note that the approval timeline may reset with the receipt of additional documents, potentially extending the process by another 5 to 10 business days.

Work out your dates. This is only the 3rd of September. Regardless of that stay where you applied until the process completes

The approval time is reset upon receipt of requested docs so it may take another 5 - 10 business days.

Use search

DO NOT leave until visa is granted, or you may end up getting rejected, and you loose the 10.000 Baht fee.

Never book flight until visa is approved.
