What's the best time to apply for a visa before the flight date? Is it true that applying too early can lead to a delayed approval? What about applying 30 days in advance?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The best time to apply for a Thai visa is maximum 90 days before your flight. Applying too early might not result in a delay, but it's recommended to apply at least 30 days in advance to ensure there are no issues. The processing times can vary, and during busy periods, the authorities prioritize applications. If additional documents are requested after application submission, it could delay the process.

They do indeed prioritise applications when they are busy. I allowed 21 days and my visa arrived the day before my flight. If I did it again I would allow at least 30 days. If they ask for additional documents the clock restarts, so send them ASAP
