Got my DTV approved from London today. Just in time as I fly on Thursday! It took approx 7 working days from uploading my documents. Happy to give any info on what I did to help anyone with the process.

No interview. I've not heard of anybody having an interview in the UK. I don't live London anymore. You just upload all your documents to the Thai visa website.

Thank You for your helpful report 👍

Congratulations 👏👏👏

PRINT OUT THE EMAIL THAT HAS YOUR DTV VISA.

That's what you should do... print it out.

You may have to show PROOF of your DTV Visa to airline staff on check-in for your flight ✈️ to Thailand...even to the connecting airline staff. Or to the land border crossing entry Thai Immigration Officer.

Upon arrival into Thailand, show the DTV visa to the Thai Immigration Officer and look at the STAMP placed in your passport to be sure you are STAMPED in for 180 days.

I have it in my passport. But those that have laminated the e-visa have no problem. You are far less likely to loose (or damage) if laminated.

Get stamped correctly: I google 180 days from today.

Let the internet do the maths.

That’s great news! Congratulations.

I am Still waiting for mine! After 16 days. It says pending approval since last Friday

How long did you wait for after status moved to “pending approval”?

Anonymous participant 897 I am the same right now. London Embassy, paid on the 20th, asked for more documents on the 24th, now been “pending approval” since the 27th. Taking surprisingly longer than I’ve seen for other people, so hoping that isn’t a bad sign!

I was asked for the following documents... letter from my employer/client stating my position and ability to work abroad, tax return or calculation and a formal consent letter where I detail I understand the visa terms. All very straight forward documents.

Anonymous participant 179 sorry to hear that! I wonder if your travel date is further out?

Mine is in early Dec to reach Thailand, but I am travelling to another country end of Oct for a month, so would really want to get it before I leave the UK

Anonymous participant 897 Mine was start-mid december as well. Could potentially be related to that - I was also not asked to submit any proof of flight booking.

No, I don't think they would ask you to do that in the UK, although don't quote me on that.

hi Tim, was the letter stating your employment and that you could work remotely addressed to the Thai embassy? I submitted one that simply said “to whom it may concern”.
