Hello everyone and thank you for your input.

I’m getting the LTR visa for wealthy pensioners, I have everything i need. My only question is to those who have used this visa. When you got your BOI letter and then went to the consulate and had your visa stamped where you told how many days you have to enter Thailand? I can’t seem to find any info for this question and AI couldn’t find any specific reference to it. Looking forward to your reply.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The validity period for entering Thailand after receiving the LTR visa approval letter typically appears to be within 60 days, according to community feedback. However, options include obtaining the visa as a PDF file from a Thai Embassy or Consulate before entering Thailand or getting it stamped in person from the BOI in Thailand. The LTR visa itself allows for a 10-year stay and unlimited entries during that period.

Check with BOI , but if I recall you need to use the visa within 60 days of the issuance of the approval letter

FYI—

a LTR E–Visa PDF File from a Thai Embassy/Thai Consulate outside Thailand and an ink stamp Visa from TISEC in Bangkok are the same where both have a 5 years stay permit, but the LTR Visa is valid 10 years

Personally, I would say to go ahead and get your Thai LTR—P E–Visa from any Thai Embassy/Thai Consulate outside Thailand via the Thai eVisa Website as a PDF File rather than an ink stamp in your Passport from TISEC in Bangkok

in case anything happens to your Passport, then at least less hassle about your LTR—P E–Visa PDF File

If you decide to get your visa issued through the thai Consulate in your country before you come here, which you don't have to do, they will send you a PDF file by email that you print out and that is your visa for the next 10 years.

Noted that I said you do not have to get this LTR issued through the Consulate in your country. And instead you can come in make an appointment with the LTR/BOI office and get the LTR visa, a five-year re-entry permit, and a 5-year permission to stay stamp inked into your passport by them.

I always tell people they should opt for getting the hard stamp visa done inside the country, because then it's in your passport rather than you having to carry around a PDF file print out for the next 10 years because that paper is your actual visa.

And as Robert correctly pointed out the Visa is valid for 10 years, is unlimited entry so you have as long as you want to enter the country.

You went to a consulate and got your visa stamped?

You use this website
****************************
apply for the visa, you get the visa by e-mail and on the visa is a validity date which is 10 years after the date of issue.

So you have 10 years to use this visa to enter Thailand as many times as you like.
