Anyone applied in their home country, entered thailand on a visa exempt, then, after dtv is approved, border bounced to activate it? Would this work? I've a flight to Thailand in a week and it probably won't come through before then... would this work?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The discussion revolves around whether an individual who entered Thailand on a visa-exempt status can activate their DTV visa by leaving and re-entering the country after the visa is approved. One commenter suggests it's possible if you have the confirmation email and QR code, recommending a short trip for activation. However, another comment points out potential issues that could arise and suggests that proper planning could avoid additional travel expenses.
It’s fine but of course generates additional expenses for the extra trip. Wouldn’t it have been better to plan your flight with a more generous buffer? Or just fly elsewhere instead while you wait it out.
