Hello

As a french if I run out of visa on the 21st of december and I want to stay longer in Thaïland, how many days would I win if I go for a visa run on the 22nd of november in Ranong to Myanmar border ? (30 days more from the 21st of december or 30 days more from the 22nd of november (which would be pointless in that case...)?)

Thank you

TLDR : Answer Summary
If you are a French citizen and your visa expires on December 21st, traveling to Myanmar on November 22nd would provide you with a new entry that grants 60 days in Thailand. However, this is contingent on the immigration officer's discretion at the border. You can extend this by an additional 30 days for a fee at the immigration office. It is crucial to note that an exit and re-entry does not retroactively grant you additional days from your original expiry date.

I did one earlier this year and it took 15 minutes, had a really helpful officer and the whole experience was quite pleasant.

You will get 30 days added on to 21st Dec.

You get 60 days from november 22 extendable for another 30 days 1900thb

You wouldn't win anything.

You would be given another 60 days upon entry, however this is at the discretion of the immigration officer when you enter Thailand. So your history here will determine if you will be allowed back in on visa exempt.

However you can get an extension of 30 days (if you haven't already) at your local immigration office for 1900 and some paperwork
