TLDR : Answer Summary
The user inquired about the timeline and requirements for extending their O retirement visa and completing their 90-day report. Responses clarified that the extension can typically be applied for 30 to 45 days before expiration, depending on the immigration office, and that both tasks could potentially be done in January. It was also noted that a TM30 address registration is essential for the extension application, and checking with the local immigration office for a detailed list of requirements was advised.

IF that answer is YES, (they did give you a new 90 day report receipt) then they DID reset the 90 days and you go by the new receipt they gave you
BUT
IF that answer is NO, (they didn't give you a new 90 day report receipt paper) then they DID NOT reset the 90 days and you go by the paper you had in your passport.
actually, if this is your first annual extension from a 3 month Non O to a year, in my experience recently the 90 day requirement kicks in 90 days after the renewal date, as confirmed by the note stapled inside my passport
Im just about to do my first after being in Hua Hin for over 6 months on tourist/Non O visas as a result.
read the post ๐ They have a 90 day report DUE and they're getting a year extension <- this means they're already ON some type of extension that requires 90 day reporting
You are correct thought that the initial 90 day count STARTS from the first year extension you get from a Non-Imm visa and they give you a small paper saying when it's due
kalasin Immigration office does it automatically for you. I did my extension of stay December 27, my 90 day report was due January 18, but Kalasin IO automatically extended it to March 25, 2024.

That depends on the Immigration Office you will be using as most allow extension applications 30 days before expiry but some will do it 45 days in advance. I'd say yes because if that means 24-Jan not Jan-2024 then you can report in person up 7 days late. However, if it's your first extension why are you doing a 90 day report?
THESE are the common found requirements for the One year extension of stay as retired. Be sure you have a TM30 address registration on file with Thai Immigration.

1... Happy New Year ๐
Most likely you will be able to do your one year extension of stay as retired at your local Thai Immigration office in January....
As most offices accept applications within 30 to 45 days before your current ending date.
2...Visit your local Thai Immigration office and ask for their list of requirements for the one year extension of stay.
