Question regarding Bangkok TM30. I know some of the immigration stuff is moving effective tomorrow from MTT to CW. I just got a new passport so I need to go do my "first" TM30 in person again. Will that be at CW or MTT now with the changes? Thanks! πŸ™

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user inquired about the TM30 process after receiving a new passport, especially regarding which immigration office to visit after the change in locations for processing. Commenters clarified that it’s not necessary to refile a TM30 for a new passport, as old passport details are noted in the new one. They confirmed that TM30 and 90-day report counters moved to the Chaengwattana office as of April 18.

well then you DO need to file a TM30 seeing as you just re-entered the country πŸ™‚ and if you're on an extension of stay (where you entered on a re-entry permit) you get the stamps moved too πŸ™‚

you don't need to refile a TM30 when you get a new passport πŸ˜• Who told you that?

When you move the stamps they note in the new passport the old number and the TM30 receipt you have will be fine with the old number.

You DO need to go and get the extension stamps moved from old passport to the new one at the office where you get your extensions.

BUT to answer your question

Counter B <- the TM30 counter & Counter A <- the 90 day report counter BOTH move back to Chaengwattana at the main office tomorrow the 18th
