Hi, Is Muang Thong Thani for Tourist Visa Covid Extension 60 days open again? I am wondering because my last extension was done in Chaengwattana. Not sure where I should go now. Thanks.

Answer summary

The community discussion indicates that for a Tourist Visa Covid Extension, the appropriate location to apply depends on how the visa was originally obtained. If you entered Thailand on a single-entry tourist visa, you should go to Chaengwattana, but if you entered on a visa exemption stamp, Muang Thong Thani is the correct location. It's also important to make an appointment beforehand, as queues can be very long.

FYI, not surprisingly, Chaengwattana was very busy when I arrived without an appointment on Tuesday, at 10 am. The queue to get through the entrance was 30 mins. I was given ticket 74, they were serving no'44 when I sat down. They got to 70 when they stopped for lunch at 12. Finally left at 1:30 pm. I would certainly advise making a prior appointment

You would use whatever counter for the original visa. If you entered on a single entry tourist visa ("The sticker") you would use Chaengwattana. If you entered on a 45 day visa exempt ("The stamp") you would use Muang Thong Thani.

You NEED to make an appointment at
