I will resign from my company on 18th and will leave thailand on 19th. I applied visa for my relocation to another country today and the pick up date from embassy is 18th afternoon. I forgot the fact that my company will my work permit and visa on 18th. Can I cancel the visa without the passport or is there any other option?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is facing a situation where they need to cancel their visa due to an upcoming job resignation and departure from Thailand. They applied for a new visa to relocate but are concerned about canceling their current visa and work permit, which are tied to their employment. Based on community comments, canceling a visa or extension of stay based on Employment requires the original passport, and if they are on the first 90-day stay from a Non-B visa, it also cannot be canceled until the stamp expires.

If you are on an extension of stay based on Employment, no, your extension cannot be canceled without your original passport.

If you are still on the first 90days from Non-B visa, it cannot be canceled, you can stay until the stamp finishes.

, Then you need to cancel it with your original passport. But cancellation can be applied in advance at most immigration offices.

I see but i am in nonthaburi and the immigration officer said cancellation can be only done within 24 hours before departure. Is there any impact on my employer if I didnt cancel and leave the country? I dont have any plan to come back to Thailand for work purpose.

Honestly, I don't know if there would be any impact on your employer. In theory, no. But we (at least I) don't have enough information on the employer side for practical study. The actual and possible problem would be on your side when you want to apply for ANY long-term visa/extension (not only Non-B/extesnion based on employment) in your future as Benjamin explained above..
