Hi All

My Friend is applying for a Tourist Visa.

He is retired.

The application form states that he needs to upload a pension statement.

He does not have any private pension policies, only state pension.

How can he obtain a statement ?

Thanks

TLDR : Answer Summary
A user seeks guidance on obtaining a pension statement for a friend's Tourist Visa application, where the application form requires such a statement. Comments suggest that a state pension statement can be accessed from the DWP, and alternatives like uploading a bank statement showing sufficient funds are also acceptable. Several users shared their experiences with the visa application process, indicating that the emphasis should be on financial ability rather than strict adherence to pension requirements.

I just use the bank statement that shows my state pension payment never had a problem with that

I just went through getting a marriage visa through the online portal. I have a state pension from Oregon. All I had to do was go to my portal on the state pension website and they had a statement much like my bank statement indicating what payments they have made and when. It was available for download as a pdf. So you might check to see if your state pension office has such a portal.

I recently got a tourist visa, they ask for a lot of stuff which is confusing, but basically just upload a bank statement and in the section that asks for self assessment as one option, I typed a letter using Microsoft word stating I wasn't on a pension and no one invited me was the other one, somewhere in there they ask for a letter from the person who invited you, anyway I uploaded a bank statement

In the UK you receive a new state pension statement each year, for your new increased pension.

This is what I upload.

I would just upload a blank page written on it “NO PRIVATE PENSION” you have to submit something -

as long as he has the funds on his bank statement. Return flight. The application comes back quite quick approval in about 5 days. However if they want more info they send an email then there’s a delay by about four days in them answering again. so he needs to leave himself enough time applying- Just incase. Otherwise like someone said, just come in on 30 days stamp and extend.

He would have had a have a letter from DWP saying how much state pension he gets.

I don't know what you mean by "planned trips" but are you aware he can apply for the 30-day extension the day after he arrives, giving him a clear 59 days stay?

He doesn't need a pension for a tourist visa. Just upload a bank statement showing more than $5k usd.
