How can I extend my retirement visa in Thailand with a pension paid into an overseas account?

I live in Hua Hin and have a question regarding extension of visa based on retirement. I know that 800,000k is the requirement or a combination of income and money up to that amount. With my pension it's paid into an Australian bank account, will that pose a problem even with a letter stating I get $ per fortnight. Or would it be needed to be transferred by me into my Thai bank account fortnightly. I know I can't get it paid into an overseas account. Sorry if this is a silly question

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user inquires about extending their retirement visa in Thailand with a pension deposited into an Australian bank account. They are concerned whether a statement of income from their bank will suffice, considering that personal payments cannot be made to overseas accounts. Comments from others provide insights on similar situations, suggesting that transferring funds to a Thai bank account monthly can help meet the financial requirements of 800,000 baht. There are also concerns about the verification of income statements by various embassies and the related procedures for providing proof of income.

I have my pension and Social Security deposited in my US bank accounts monthly. What I did over a year ago was transfer the 800,000 baht and some more for working capital to my Thai bank. I transfer money from the US periodically but I never have less than 1,000,000 baht in my Thai bank. When I got my year extension last week the money was seasoned and I had no problems getting the extension. The money also serves as an emergency fund here in Thailand.

. Mate, at the present time, you can go to the Australian Embassy and they will witness a Statutory Declaration showing your income in Australian $ showing the equivalent in Thai Baht at the exchange rate on the day. But be aware that Thai Immigration are putting pressure on the embassies to check that the figures in the Stat Dec are correct. The British Embassy has stated that they are unable to verify the income statements and will cease to certify Stat Decs in December. I understand that Immigration have been requiring US citizens to prove the figures in the Stat Decs certified by the US Embassy and that the US Embassy may also cease to certify them in the near future. I expect other Embassies to follow suit. Australian Embassy? Who knows. In the meantime I will continue to use a Stat Dec from the Australian Embassy and I can prove the income figures because all my (Australian) income is in the form of superannuation.

I do not think that you can do it via mail. The Stat Dec is a legal document. The certifier is legally declaring that they have seen you sign the paper. I think that it must be done in person. The Australian Embassy does a very good outreach program where they regularly visit Chiang Mai.

No Stat Dec by mail. They need to see you sign the document.
