TLDR : Answer Summary
When applying for a retirement visa in Thailand, you will need a letter from the UK Embassy in Bangkok to confirm that you receive an income of 65,000 baht per month from your pension. However, the requirement for bank statements can vary. Many users reported that the Embassy typically requests documentation from your financial provider, such as letters verifying pension amounts, rather than requiring extensive bank statements. It seems that a few months of evidence may suffice, especially if you're drawing down from a pension pot rather than receiving a regular monthly pension. Be prepared to clearly demonstrate your income, as the documentation should be straightforward and verifiable.

The form also says that the evidence provided should be simple, easy to understand and clearly show the key financial amounts etc. As I said above proving you have the pension pot is easy, proving the required INCOME is not as you can vary your drawdown as you wish, which is exactly what the OP is doing.

I would write it exactly like the example.

the pension service, GBP, xxx weekly X 52 and put the total. And for the proof I would jsut submit the total amount I have in the pension OR I'd use a print out of deposits to my bank account showing they matched the amount I put down

READ the link that
@Rob***
provided. It tells you exactly what to submit. A friend gets rental income from some apartments in the UK. He wrote on the form rental income, included a couple months of his deposits and got the letter back from the UK consulate without a problem.

As you are drawing down rather than getting a regular pension or annuity income I think you may be in a difficult position getting the required documention. You can prove how much is in you pension pot with ease, but showing the monthly income could be a problem.

All i done was got a letter from my private pension company, and a letter showing my government pension with the online form filled in and sent it to the British Embassy BKK then took the returned letter to immigration, no bank statements.

The same, I provide a letter from my private pension company.

The UK Embassy will want to see documentation from your financial provider. A bank statement wouldn't be enough on its own.

Hahaha! Yes we are. Apologies!

@Ron ******
I mean you can use a bank statement at the the UK consulate to GET the affidavit of income from abroad notary :/

I think we're talking about different things.

You're right you can't use an overseas bank statement for anything at the immigration office without the notary letter from your consulate

Sorry Tod. That's bullshit. You cannot simply turn up with a bank statement. They want a verifiable source of income.
Tod *********
That is NOT correct. They do NOT check any of the documentation you submit to them. I've had people use copies of their bank statement showing deposits only and it works fine
