Having a multi entry non o-a visa means pretty much total freedom to come and go to Thailand without worrying whether you have to make a trip specifically for a stamp renewal (except at the end of the first year to be able to stay a further year). It requires more paperwork in the beginning but worth it for the lack of worry later.

You just need a bank statement showing a state pension payment (DWP). That's all I supplied for a successful application for a Non-Imm 'O' based on retirement in November, last year, at the London embassy.

If yes you can apply for the Non Immigrant O visa based on being over 50 years, but you need: For pensioner : A copy of pension statement if the applicant is a pensioner or a copy of 1 month bank statement showing your income from pension. Or you can apply for the Non Immigrant O-A visa and than you only need proof of finance on a bank account.
