Good day everyone

If I transfer my pension from South Africa every month into my Thailand bank account will that be accepted when I renew my retirement visa for the next ?

Will the Thailand bank give me a statement for the year?

Can I not make use of the banking app and print 1 year monthly payments into the account?

And If I have a letter from my pension fund stating that I will receive x amount of income for life....can that be accepted?

Thank you.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The individual inquires about using their monthly pension transfers from South Africa to qualify for a retirement visa renewal in Thailand. Comments indicate that while monthly transfers of 65,000 THB may be accepted if not flagged by the country of origin, a bank statement will typically be provided documenting these transfers. However, using bank app statements is not acceptable, and letters from pension funds aren't recognized for visa renewal purposes. An alternative suggestion is to deposit 800,000 baht directly into the account to avoid complications.

I know sit with same problem. Have to re apply for OA visa from Pta because with covid couldnt get back to my property in Kamala. Visa is easier than getting a police clearance in South Africa. Unless you dont mind waiting for months.

that was not what the O/P asked. They specifically asked if they could meet the financial requirements using the monthly income method.

Many people do not like the punitive and restrictive seasoning terms for banked money method on the retirement extensions and choose instead to use the monthly income method with international transfers each month

MAYBE...

If you transfer 65K THB each month, and it's "flagged" as being from an international transfer, you can renew your retirement visa - IF your country does not issue a letter saying you make 65K THB a month

>Will the Thailand bank give me a statement for the year?

The bank would give you a letter to the immigration office showing you deposited 65K THB each month.

>Can I not make use of the banking app and print 1 year monthly payments into the account?

No you can not

>And If I have a letter from my pension fund stating that I will receive x amount of income for life....can that be accepted?

No it can not.

I recommend contacting the South African embassy in Thailand and confirming they do not issue the letters before trying the income method.
