Can someone tell me if you can extend a 60 day tourist visa for another 30 days? What is the process? Is it like visa exemption extension process? The person is russian if that matters. Thanks!

Perhaps they should read their local Thai Embassy website for visa information. The information is all there when they applied - it's still there now.

But for ease of reference a 60 day tourist visa can be extended once by another 30 days.

1. The applicant’s passport and a copy of:

a. The data “picture” page.

b. The most recent visa (if applicable).

c. All entry stamps or extension of stay (if applicable) since arrival .

d. The departure card (“TM 6”) that should be stapled in the passport.

2. The extension of stay application form (“TM 7”).

3. A copy of the submitted Notification of Residence of Foreigners form ("TM 30”).

4. 1x passport sized (4cm by 6cm) photos.
