Hi everyone,
Please help me to understand what I should to do.
I applied for a DTV visa at the Thai Embassy in Vientiane, Laos.
For the financial documents, I submitted:
1. A photo of my original 3-month bank statement from Bangkok Bank in Thailand, showing a balance of over 500,000 THB. The statement is in English, issued at the bank branch, with the bank officer’s signature and stamp. The same amount is also shown in my bank book. At the interview, I can bring the original statement, the bank book, and show the banking app.
2. An electronic English bank statement from my Russian sole proprietor / individual entrepreneur bank account, showing regular monthly income under an offer agreement. The final balance on this statement is 0 because I transfer the money from this business account to my personal accounts, and then part of it to my Thai bank account. I explained this in my application.
Five days after submitting the application, I received an interview invitation. There were no additional document requests before that. In the interview invitation, they wrote:
“please bring bank statement certified by your respective embassies”
Could anyone who applied for DTV in Vientiane clarify what they usually mean by this?
Do they want the Thai Bangkok Bank statement to be certified somehow, even though it is already an original document with a bank stamp and signature?
Or do they most likely mean the foreign Russian bank statement showing income, because it is an electronic statement from a bank outside Thailand?
I would really appreciate any real experience from people who had a similar request at the Thai Embassy in Vientiane.
