TLDR : Answer Summary
The TM30 report is necessary for foreigners staying in Thailand, particularly for visa extensions. If you arrive in Thailand before your Thai wife, she can still handle the TM30 registration online, provided she has previously registered her house in the online TM30 system and has the login credentials. Alternatively, you can register the TM30 yourself by submitting a copy of your wife's house registration book and her ID card, as well as a confirmation letter of residence. Make sure to complete the registration within 24 hours after your arrival to comply with Thai immigration laws.

A tm30 is usaly only needed after entering thailand and needing a visa extension is it not?

Correct me if im wrong but if you were not with her but rather booked a hotel the hotel could only print the tm30 once you chek in and not before.

A tm30 only needs to be added on to the system 24 hours after you chek in and nothing later

Registering online as suggested is the easiest method going forward. The entry can only be retrieved for seven days so remember to export and print. Either get your wife to register or you can do it, just need the blue book and ID card. Not difficult.

First thing is, the Thai wife needs to register her house in the online TM30 system.

She will then receive a Login-ID and a password.

With this, any foreigner can theoretically register the TM30 by himself after arrival

Adrian Foister yes. You create it online fex for name you use baan+ the name of your wife with adress where you stay. Be aware that if you do your 90 day report you have to update every time you come back or even if fex you do a trip to bkk because there the hotel will register you at their adress

You can also do it yourself by bringing copy your wife's housebook and ID card. You might need a confirmation letter since there’s no lease. Although, If you're on an extension of stay based on marriage, you might be questioned about why you're not staying together.

Your wife can do it online here by registering a user;
