TLDR : Answer Summary
To obtain a multiple entry visa for Thailand, you can apply for a one-year Multiple Entry Non Immigrant visa at Thai Consulates or Embassies if you meet the requirements. Alternatively, if you already hold a Non Immigrant Visa, you can apply for a one-year Extension of Stay at your local Immigration Office. You can also pre-book an appointment for a re-entry permit to save time, or purchase it at Don Mueang or Suvarnabhumi Airport before departing.

OR you can buy a re-entry permit at either Don Mueang or Suvarnabhumi Airport before you fly out. The re-entry permit counters at those airports are open

You can pre-book an appointment for re-entry permit at CW. This may save you some time queueing on the day.

you apply for 1 year Multiple Entry Non Immigrant visa's at Thai Consulates of Embassies if you meet the requirements OR you apply for a 1 year Extension of Stay if you already have a Non Immigrant Visa at your local Immigration Office. Question now is what do you have in your passport and what and why do you like to apply for?

right, same place you went to get your yearly extension :)

You need copies of the data page of your passport, your original visa, your extension and your departure card along with a filled out TM8 application for a re-entry permit and a passport size photo.

Once you get your year extension inked in you go to section C-2 at Chaengwattana and BUY a re-entry permit. You don't get one automatically because you're already IN thailand.

OR

You can buy one at the airport when you fly out

Thanks, just to make it clear, you have a new stamp with in the second line Extension of Stay is permitted up to .. Jun 2020. You can apply at your Immigration Office for a Re-Entry Permit, this permit will be valid till the same date as .. Jun 2020 and with this permit you get on entry the same date as ..Jun 2020 stamped as Admitted until in your passport. The Re-Entry Permit can be bought as Single for 1,000 Thb or multiple for 3.800 Thb. Example of single re-entry permit:
