Thank you I am trying to get a 30 day tourist visa when my single entry non b ends on the 18th Feb 2020. I have lived and worked here for the past 7 years with WP and multiple entry non b every time, returning to the UK for sometime each year. Because of the new E visa I need to change my WP so I've cancelled my old one. I have now decided to go back to the UK until November this year and then renew my WP...however my fight is booked for the 16 Feb which I can move to March. I'll like to stay 30 days more if I can

If I have to fly out I will....I I have a rented house here and I'm on the sighed agreement with my Thai partner...have Thai bank account and no overstays

Any advice would be appreciated thanks Gordon

there is no way to get 30 days without exiting/re-entering the country. Just GO do a border bounce to get the 30 days you need.. AND remember you can extend a 30 day visa exempt entry stamp by 30 more days at the immigration office where you live for 1900baht too

From Phuket they go to Ranong and cross into Birma or to Satun and cross into Malaysia for a new 30 day Visa Exempt Entry.

Always did my 90 day runs and always got my non b in London...my account is sorting my WP when I return I know it means in and out to Malaysia a few times...thanks for letting me know I can do an over land I thought I had to fly ..and I've never heard of a exempt entry before...any land border?

It appears that you don't have any 30 day visa exempt entries by land yet this year,

When your 90 day single entry non-B is expiring go to a border, stamp out of thailand, stamp in and out of another country and then stamp back into thailand.

That will get you a 30 day visa exempt entry.

sorry I totally ignored the "I've had a Non-B and work permit" part of your story. It doesn't matter in the grand scheme of things.

IF in fact you are on a 90 day single entry Non-B, follow my advice to get a 30 day visa exempt entry.

You do not need to change a Work Permit from the Ministry of Labor based on the Thai Embassy in London using an on line application. The Work Permit is a booklet with your name, address, job title, job description, place of work inside, nothing to do with Thai Consulates or Immigration.

You lived and worked here for the last 7 years and you left every year to apply for a new Non Immigrant B visa and did border runs every 90 days or did you visit the Immigration Office, got the stamp with in the second line Extension of Stay permitted up to 18 Feb 2020?
