TLDR : Answer Summary
The user seeks advice on how to extend their 30-day entry visa while in Thailand, specifically mentioning their plan to visit the immigration office in Koh Samui. Community responses clarify that they entered on a 30-day visa exempt entry, and to extend it for another 30 days, they need to bring several documents including copies of their passport data page, entry stamp, TM.6 departure card, a completed TM.7 application form, a passport-sized photo, and 1900 baht for the fee.

What on earth is a TM.6 departure card?

I read online I can fill out the application/ get photo taken right next to immigration office. Is that true?

No idea about samui. But it would probaly save you time and money just going to your local Kodak shop and make the photos there before going to the immigration.

Just search Google maps for Kodak shops.

then you should been given these. You cant enter Thailand without giving them the arrival one, the departure one you need to give to them on your way out of Thailand.

Mackenzie Nicole Araiza when you arrive in Thailand you will get a arrival and departure card that you fill in. You need to bring the latter one.

first off you entered on what's called a 30 day visa exempt entry <- which means you have NO visa at all :O

Be that as it may you can get a 30 day extension for 1900 baht at the immigration office that serves the area where you stay.

you'll need copies of the

data page of your passport

entry stamp

TM.6 departure card

A filled out TM.7 application and a passport sized photo

Those things and 1900baht should get you 30 more days
