TLDR : Answer Summary
A user is struggling to contact the British embassy for assistance regarding a visa extension due to medical reasons. Despite multiple attempts to reach them by phone and email, the user has not received a response. The community suggests being patient, continuing to try to contact the embassy, and potentially having a medical representative communicate with immigration on their behalf. Several comments discuss the complexities of extending a visa based on medical conditions.

If you're trying to get an extension of stay based on medical reasons, and has nothing to do with COVID-19, have your doctor go to the immigration office and explain why you can't travel, and when you should be able to travel, along with any reports. If the immigration office believes it's real, then it'll be granted. If it's an excuse to stay longer, it's not going to be granted.

I'm closing commenting. Good luck.

My friend went this morning for me and they said they still need the letter from the embassy. They said if I gave them the letter before my 7 day extension then they could of done it without the letter from the embassy but as it’s after that they can’t do

You can not travel, you can not travel to a hospital to do that, do not blow the story. be careful

Everything is worth a try now

Don't have your friend go, have your doctor or nurse go.

Ask your doctor to call the Immigration and explain your sudden medical situation
Robert *******
If you have a medical statement from the doctor that you are not allowed to travel, you send a friend or a nurse from the hospital to the Immigration office to apply for this medical extension

I also have a medical letter from the hospital telling me not to travel but the immigration still want this letter from the embassy

They are not accepting an extension of stay based on medical reasons? Does this letter have anything to do with COVID-19?

Whats your current visa situation? My guess is that you just have to be patient. Yo can imagine how many emails and phone calls they are currently dealing with.
