Answer summary

The user is seeking advice on obtaining a 14-day visa extension in Thailand due to multiple flight cancellations caused by airport closures. They were informed that the extension must be processed at the embassy in Bangkok but faced difficulties contacting the embassy. A comment suggests emailing the UK consulate to request a support letter related to COVID-19, which may help in obtaining a 30-day extension to avoid daily overstay penalties.

email the UK consulate, (no need to call) and see if you can get the "unable to travel due to covid-19 letter so you can get the 30 day embassy request extension

Otherwise you're gonna be liable for the 500 baht a day overstay from the 27th until you fly out
