TLDR : Answer Summary
The British Embassy no longer certifies documents for pension verification purposes. Several alternatives were suggested, including using a South African Commissioner of Oaths based in Hua Hin for certification. For Thai Immigration, a copy of the annual DWP award letter may suffice, and it's important to note that UK pensions cannot be used to verify income; only banked monies are accepted. Another option includes getting a certified translation through a service like Othello online, followed by legalizing the document at the MFA Legalisation office in Central World, which takes three days.
Get a certified translation. I used Othello online. Make an appointment at the MFA Legalisation office at Central World. They take 3 days to certify it, but the service is very thorough and professional. It costs 400 bahts for regular service or 800 for rush, same day.

If it is for Immigration to verify your income you cannot use a UK pension only banked monies
for the non O and first one year extension you have to use the banked 800,000 baht method as the UK Embassy will not provide the affidavit. If you transfer 65,000 baht every month for 12 months, at the second extension you can transition to the 65,000 baht method by providing your bank statement. You can then withdraw the 800,000 baht.

I’m a South African Commissioner of Oaths based in Hua Hin. If you think they will accept that I can do the certified copy for you.
