🌼First Entry on DTV as πŸ‡΅πŸ‡° Pakistani approved from Islamabad Embassy: 🌼

Entered from Bangkok Airport with flight in and out, hotel booking of 3 days and flight out was to Bali (not Pakistan). Bali I hold a valid 1 yr visa for.

I wasn’t asked much except how long will I be staying and what’s my purpose. (i had all docs prepped just in case).

People next to me on visa exemption got asked more Qs tbh.

Visa Officer was happy and stamped me in for 6 months 😊

There was no line at BKK airport, I was the only one in my queue.

PS: Thai Airways official in Bali (where I was leaving from) asked me the most questions, printed out my DTV on their colored printer and gave it to me at the boarding gate with something written in small letters (might be an airline sign off or sth) but anyway Thai airways knew fully well about DTV and what’s required and were thorough in their questioning.

Overall 10/10 Experience and made me happy to be entering the Kingdom on a positive note 😊

Can you share more details on the process? Documents etc and should visit embassy directly for filling?

I was called in for an interview on 19th of March at Royal Thai Embassy, Islamabad. I still haven't heard anything back from the Embassy.

How much time did it take in your case for an application to be approved ?

Edit: one more thing, keep your approval email that you received also readily accessible. The airline staff also asked to see my email and opened the attachment themselves. It was part of their process.

Yeah, I think it even says in the email that we should be prepared to produce the email whenever asked.

I also experienced such behaviour of an airline with a digital boarding pass, they wanted to see the email and open it from there.

Thank You for your helpful report πŸ‘

Congratulations πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘

PRINT OUT THE EMAIL THAT HAS YOUR DTV VISA.

That's what you should do... print it out.

You may have to show PROOF of your DTV Visa to airline staff on check-in for your flight ✈️ to Thailand...even to the connecting airline staff. Or to the land border crossing entry Thai Immigration Officer.

Upon arrival into Thailand, show the DTV visa to the Thai Immigration Officer and look at the STAMP placed in your passport to be sure you are STAMPED in for 180 days.

Beautiful, thanks for sharing. I'm curious what questions Thai Airways asked, and why did they printout your visa? You didn't have a printout of your own?

I had my own printout but they said they will print me another one and they wrote something on it. Questions were normal like onward ticket, hotel booking, how long staying etc etc.
