In a dilemma here. I booked my flight to Thailand. I researched of where to live in which Condo and all advise say; Do not book ahead, do not book online... got there and find it when you need it. Well ok, but this is colliding with the requirement from the Thai embassy who is asking for where I am going to live during my stay in the visa application. What to do?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is facing a dilemma regarding accommodation details required for their visa application to Thailand. While it's advised to book accommodation upon arrival to find the best options, the Thai embassy requires proof of accommodation location for the visa. Suggestions from the community include booking a hotel for a short stay, citing the name of a hotel or even stating that accommodation is yet to be booked. This advice aims to fulfill the visa requirement while allowing flexibility in finding a suitable living arrangement.

Or book a place on booking.com that allows free cancellation. In Bali they made me show that I have accommodation for the full visa term. I think your landlord has to update them when you change though.

Book a place for 1-2 days, then once here and you research accommodations you can update them. Otherwise, just give them a name/address like the Holiday Inn Pattaya.

If it's a single entry tourist visa as a rule they are not that strict about what you put down on there.

You can even put, did not book yet.
