Hi everyone, I am new on here. I am a UK citizen currently residing in the UK, and want to apply for a Thailand STV. I am looking to travel from March onwards, or as soon as feasibly possible. Has anyone recently applied successfully for an STV from the UK? And if so, is the [members only]/ the best way to do it?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks very much.

TLDR : Answer Summary
A UK citizen is seeking advice on applying for a Thailand Special Tourist Visa (STV) from the UK, targeting travel from March onwards. They inquire about the best method for application, specifically whether the official Thai visa website is reliable. A comment suggests that while the website is the correct resource, there may be challenges at airports concerning travel reasons.
You can still apply and that is the right link but they’re going to put police in airports to check people’s reasons for flying out, so i’m not sure if STV would qualify 🤷🏼♀️
thanks Abby. Yes, I saw the news yesterday about checks at the airport in the latest govt announcement, not great news, will maybe have to be a little patient.
Abby Staddon. That's true at this stage, that tourism is not considered "essential travel", but BoJo has indicated a relaxing of restrictions from March 8, so by the time the OP is ready to travel, it may be permissible, so possibly too early to be asking the question
