Regarding retirement non o - section 8 medical certificate (hospital only valid for seven days) - Does this mean that immigration no longer accept a medical certificate from a doctors practice? thanks 🙏🏻

TLDR : Answer Summary
The conversation inquires about the updated requirements for a medical certificate for the retirement NON-O visa in Thailand, specifically whether immigration has transitioned to accepting medical certificates exclusively from hospitals rather than local doctors' practices. There is a consensus among the commenters that the requirement indeed specifies 'hospital only' and that the medical certificate is valid for just seven days, indicating a change possibly triggered by COVID-19. Additionally, there's a mention of uncertainty regarding the documentation necessary for registering the residency of foreigners.

Yes it seems so, this has. changed since Covid. Thanks Robert. Also regarding 11- Document for Notification of residence of foreigners. immigration.go.th - this is unclear but i assume it refers to the actual registration of address details (I did this when applying for the initial 3 months non-O with documents provided by landlord/ owner). I am uncertain which document they ask for, so I have printed the web page showing my registration on the site. Am i missing any detail here?

a TM30 receipt that shows you have been registered in the system is just a screen grab printed like this

I don't believe it changed from covid-19, Some immigration offices have always had that as a requirement and a year or so ago they went from a clinic health cert to one from a hospital

What is the immigration office that you are using.

the hospital had told me my medical certificate from within 3 months would be valid, but form says 1 week. Also (in Samui) they changed 3 months advance deposit of funds - to 2 months - they said it was because of current situation

Change of seasoned money is nation wide and introduced 1 March 2019. Stop finding stories, get the requirement and tick the box, when done apply for the Extension of Stay.

sorry Robert, but also in Bangkok they require this medical certificate for the retirement extension?

We always advice to visit the office and get the latest updated hand out with requirements.

This sounds not nice but with over 70 offices all with minor differences, it is to much time to keep up a database

the list of documents in Bangkok remained the same as last year? thanks for the information

The requirement is specifically typed as Hospital only and valid for 7 days.

I guess a paper from a local clinic older than 1 week would not match
