Good day Tod Daniels. I've had my marriage visa for several years and always made sure I had the 400,000 THB for 2 full months before renewal. Lately, I'm seeing some sights have said the 2-month requirement has been increased to 3 months. Others still remain for 2. A little confusing.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The requirement for bank balance seasoning for renewing a marriage visa in Thailand remains at 2 months, with a minimum of 400,000 THB. Despite some conflicting information suggesting a change to 3 months, users confirm that only a 2-month seasoning period is necessary.

and on that note we're done. Thanx one and all for the comments

Extensions based on marriage to a thai using banked money method require the 400K baht to be seasoned 2 months before you apply for the next extension.

There is no change to this and any office saying something other than 2 months before is not correct.

with all due respect, but I speak from experience that some immigration offices, such as the difficult one in Nonthaburi, also want 1 month after the application. they claim that this amount is also included when providing the actual extension after the 1 month "under consideration" stamp

and I have told everyone who has offices that don't follow the rules, you either call them on the carpet and want to see the print out stating the actual rules OR (if you won't) you deal with it ๐Ÿ™

I'm just saying what the real posted rules are and those are for ALL immigration offices

I can't make people stand up for themselves ๐Ÿ™
