Travelers have shared various experiences flying to Bangkok (BKK) on Qatar Airways, praising the airline's service and comfort during recent flights. Positive comments highlighted the airline's customer service and the efficiency of their operations, even during the pandemic. However, some travelers raised concerns about strict paper requirements for flying into Thailand, such as the need for a Certificate of Entry (CoE) and COVID-19 test results. A serious incident involving invasive searches of female passengers at Doha airport has also been discussed, prompting calls for boycotts and greater scrutiny of Qatar Airways' treatment of passengers.

For all their posturing trying to be a big hitter in the world, this just shows their mentality especially towards Western women, Western governments should be recalling their ambassadors for this abuse of their subjects but alas too greedy for petro dollars.

I flew with them last week LHR to BKK. It was excellent, highly recommended
Someone dumped a baby at Doha Airport on 2nd Oct and thd Qatari authorities forcibly internally examined all suspectef women to an internal gynaecological examination without their consent in an attempt to find the mother, BOYCOTT QATAR AIRWAYS !
Really ! You want to patronise a company that totally disregards their passengers feelings this in wrong on so many levels how would you feel if some female member of your family is violated against their will !

Not to BKK. But some 20 Australian women were taken off a flight to Sydney and forced to undergo intrusive and invasive physical examinations that left them traumatised
French and British women were also taken off planes and vaginally examined. Women from 10 planes were removed and examined. This incident just describes the experiences of the women on the London to Sydney flight
Thanks for identifying that. I did not see a single mention of other nationalities in the Australian media.

Yep, women and girls from age 11 upwards, travelling with this airline, and transiting in places like Doha and Dubai risk this happening to them ie internal vaginal examination under armed guard without consent or explanation. It happens more frequently than most travellers were aware of. Your embassy wont help you and you cannot access legal assistance. This wasn't the first time, and wont be the last

Are these QUARANTAINE flights to BKK upon arrival. How about VISA? 🤔
Gareth ********
Jaap H F van der Linden They are classed as normal commercial flights, HOWEVER you need to follow the RTE guidance / instructions to apply for a CoE prior to flying into Thailand. You cannot just book and fly.

I have flown on Qatar to BKK for 2 years— great customer service. If you do have a long layover, i would consider checking into the lounge at Doha airport for Qatar airlines there— great service for the price— clean amenities, shower, sleep area, wi-fi, good food and they even serve champagne.
I’m gonna fly QA end Dec from BKK to Maldives, hoping services on flights and at the lounge still somewhat similar to pre-Covid?

We have mostly flown with Emirates and loved them but Qatar's prices were so much lower we got to round trip with no charges for changing flights for 2200.00
flew with Qatar 7 times to Bangkok..re airport..the new one had opened at about my third trip..very easy to get around despite it's huge size..you really only have to make it through screening as you get off your first flight..and maybe at check in area once more, but first is official govt check..the second pretty much air qatar..reconfirm your flights every hour or so..but other than that, a truly wonderful airport to walk around, easy to find seating and internet chargers, and free PC should you have trouble using your own. Staff on the plane and in airport are multinational..and excellently trained. But always remember you are heading East problem solving is handled well by courtesy rather than by confrontation..
