Is Turkish Airlines allowed to fly to Thailand during the pandemic?

I'm having a bit of a panic moment - just read on the Thai embassy website that there are specific airlines that have permits to fly to Thailand (and Turkish Airlines is not on it, who I booked with).

Has anyone flown into Thailand with Turkish Airlines?

TLDR : Answer Summary
A user panicked upon discovering that Turkish Airlines was not listed as an approved airline for flights to Thailand during COVID-19. Various comments revealed that Turkish Airlines does have approval under a semi-commercial category, with travelers sharing recent experiences of flying to Bangkok without issues. Others advised checking official lists and confirming with the airline, while some cautioned against flying with airlines that have recently denied boarding due to visa issues.

They are allowed to fly.

TA announced in November it would resume flights to Bangkok in December. I just snipped this from TA's website. I keep an eye on them because I need a TA return flight to the US in June.

That’s what the graphic is from, TA website, taken today. Not arguing with your comment, but as we know, airlines cancel flights and governments change policies so what was true in December might not be true today.

be smart and check airlines departures and arrivals. I followed Bangkok arrivals and departures for weeks.did this for LH, Swiss, Austrian, Emirates, Etihad and Turkish. Did not see any cancellations. Seems you are not that smart...

What brought that on? You're a total stranger and have no idea what my personal situation is. What is your problem? Your comment is neither appropriate nor appreciated.

because your comments are stupid, check check and check before making stupid comments, you even don’t trust Turkish airline website flight schedule...

And as I mentioned earlier I flew Istanbul-Bangkok 11 December after checking thoroughly with TK and you still doubt they fly, then walk.

I think at least Lufthansa is now accepting it. When I did my document check with them on Friday, they had a list of countries that are accepted for visa exemption and I heard them talk about it. I think it just took them a while to realise this is approved, which is terribly annoying of course.

I know Turkish cancelled my mum and dad's in Jan as the airline weren't flying. One of the airlines that were easy to get a full refund off for them. It was probably around 4 weeks before in Dec when their flight was officially cancelled. Best to just call the airline.

Some of these may be flying cargo only, example Druk Air. Nobody is getting into Bhutan except perhaps diplomats and medical, perhaps some flying out.

It might not appear on the list but you should ask the RTE in your country first, because I just asked one and they said Turkish airline is approved. And as I saw the review about the trip to Thailand, many people flied with Turkish airline.

Be careful these no fly airlines can be an issue I was rejected on Korean flight from manila to Singapore via seoul because Singapore didn't recognise Korean airlines. Make sure it's an airline that's recognised .

They shouldnt be offering flights when they are not on the list. Call them asap and push for a refund due to that. So you are able to book a flight with an airline on the list
