Does the Thai embassy in Hanoi require an appointment for a 60 day tourist visa? A friend of mine needs to go for one this week. She has a U.S. passport.

okay, the ONLY thai consulates in the area that require appointments are the thai consulate in VIentiane Lao, Kuala Lumpur Malaysia and Singapore. And soon to be the thailand economic and trade office taipei (but that's another story) ;)

The rest are walk up service.
