Does the location of the consulate matter for an E-Visa application, or is it based solely on jurisdiction?
Hello - since the new rules I’m going to be heading to the US to apply. Technically my residency falls under the DC location, but have heard that the LA consulate is a bit faster.
Since it’s an E-Visa application does it actually matter which one you choose? Any truth to time.

You will need to apply within your jurisdiction. If out of it when you apply you will lose your $400. Plus you need fbi clearance.

You must provide your driver's license or utility bills with your name and address as proof of location. If your address falls under DC. You can only submit with DC. If you tryna submit with LA they will not process your application
