Hello, for the thai pass insurance: does the policy actually needs to show the words covid or the amount of 50.000? I have a very comprehensive insurance but it does not explicitly show those.Thank you

TLDR : Answer Summary
The Thai Pass insurance policy must explicitly include coverage for COVID-19 and a minimum of $50,000. Although some comprehensive insurance plans might not show these details directly, they are crucial for compliance. It's recommended to choose an insurance provider approved in Thailand, such as AXA, to avoid issues with fine print and ensure coverage for various scenarios, including positive COVID tests.
My insurance company initially provided me with a 44 page booklet and a very generic cover letter that did not spell it out. It took me 2 months to get the proper letter. If your insurance company doesn’t cooperate immediately save yourself a lot of trouble and find one that will. My insurance letter covers me for $10.M so anything $50K and above works plus the COVID clause.
I would play safe and get a Thai approved insurance like AXA some travel insurance companies only cover you in the case of showing symptoms not just a positive test. Fine print is everything. Also if staying for 2 weeks get insurance for 1 month to be safe
