I could provide bank statements in either German which would be also my passport country or in English by another countries bank.

What would be better as I assume they prefer English language documents over any other language. For that other English speaking country I could only provide a residents ID.

TLDR : Answer Summary
When submitting bank statements for a visa application, it is generally advisable to provide them in English, as this is often preferred by authorities. However, it's essential to verify the specific requirements of the embassy or visa office where you will apply, as some locations may have different rules regarding acceptable document languages.

I’m not sure, but I would maybe take a look at the embassy’s website where you want to submit the application.

I’m not entirely sure, but that might be helpful!

Look at the website of the embassy you will apply at.

Documents in German, may only be accepted in Germany.

They don't even accept documents in the local language at any embassy I've applied at or looked at. It's either English or Thai.

Depends where you apply for example in Helsinki they accept only Finnish or Estonian bank statements. If you have any other EU or even non EU bank statement they don’t accept. It says on their website. So better to check requirements where you apply

Definitely English. There is no requirements about where your bank is located. You do not need to coordinate your bank location with any residence certification.
