Hi there,

Today I am suppose to go to immigration and file my 90 day report according to my last 90 day report receipt. However ive been overseas in that time (arrived back about a month and a half ago with a multiple re-entry permit). Does the 90 days restart from the date i entered back into Thailand? Basic question and sorry if this has been asked a million times!
Answer summary
When you re-enter Thailand after being overseas, your 90-day reporting period resets from the date of your latest entry into the country. Therefore, you should count 90 days from your re-entry for your next report submission. If you have not done so already, you may also consider utilizing online reporting options to simplify the process.

Always 90 days from LAST entry, then every 90 days after until you leave again.

Count 90 days from arrival and front up at immigration, just did mine 30 mins ago and now for next extension more papetwork, marriage Non O that is. I got an Affidavit of family relationship to a Thai national which they said my wife can sign, there's also forms regarding temporary stays in the kingdom , dealing with changing your application from original.

The 90 clock resets when you leave. Despite what your last ticket says the 90 days will start again from when you re-entered Thailand

It is 90 days from the date you re-entered Thailand.

My guess is that you aint going to Immigration today :)

Also it is easy to register online to submit 90 days reporting (hence.. no need to travel and wait inside Immigration)

With the exception that first report after arrival in Thailand has to be done in person. Also in Bangkok you can make an appointment to do in person reports which avoids queuing. Otherwise online reporting is the way to go.

you are correct. But she mentioned her 'previous' 90 day reporting date.. so she would qualify to register for online reporting which I mentioned 'eliminates' the need for 'travel' to Immigration. She has your advice re: making an appointment.. so up to her to make decision.

Her previous date was before she left Thailand. Therefore she must do the next one in person.

If you leave the country before your 90-day report due date the countdown clock stops and when you re-enter the country it starts again from zero so your next 90-day report would be due 89 days from the day you stamped in (no matter what your current receipt says)
