Hi everyone 👋🏻

I posted my 90 report the other day via EMS, I got confirmation that it was received on the 1Aug...

My question is:

What is the usual waiting period for them to send back the receipt?

I’m planning on flying out of BKK for the weekend next weekend and worried I may have problems with immigration leaving and coming back in without my latest 90 day receipt.

Thanks in advance 😊

TLDR : Answer Summary
The waiting period for receiving the receipt after submitting your 90-day report in Thailand can vary. Generally, some expats report receiving their receipts within a few days, while others suggest it's wise to wait up to a month before following up if you haven't received it. It's important to ensure that your report was sent at least 15 days before your intended departure, and immigration officials usually do not require the receipt for exiting the country, as the 90-day report resets upon re-entry.

You DEFINITELY need to follow the rules for posting a 90 day report to them. It states they need to post it 15 days before. They also state you should wait one month before you go to check on it if you haven't gotten your receipt back.

@Tod ********
well that’s fabulous news and good to know, thank you 🙏

You are unlikely to have a problem with them not filing your report though even if you sent it in late. And like Robert said the airport doesn't care if you ever filed a 90 day report or not because the people at passport control who stamp you in and out of the country don't care about 90 day reporting AT ALL ;)

I usually get mine within a few days of the Report date, assuming it's sent in 15 days before. Did you make the return envelope EMS?

It's unlikely to matter. As
@Robert ******
has said, they don't care at the airport, and when you do your next report, 90 days after you return to Thailand it will still be shown that you did the one in August even it was late.

No I didn’t 😢

But definitely will for next time. Lesson learned. Also it was a few days before the date not 15 🤯😳

But anyway, does anyone know roughly what the expected waiting period is to receive it via post?

Immigration at the airport do not care your 90 days reports. Be aware that you unless you have a multiple entry visa, you need a re-entry permit to keep your admitted to stay alive.

Yes I am aware of that thank you... ok well as long as they don’t give me any hassles at the airport when I’m trying to leave then I’m all good

You should know that your 90 day report resets when you return to Thailand.

Given you have no reason to go to immigration before you depart, it shouldn’t cause you any problems before you go.

Thanks Glen, yes I know about it resetting, I was more concerned about being hassled at the airport when trying to leave and bring forced to pay a fine or something
