Hello guys. This is my first time in Thailand for a longer period of time. Soon the 90 days report is imminent. My question to the professionals. If I leave before the 90 days and come back after 4 or 5 days, then does the 90 day period start again? Thank you for helpful answers. Greetings Juergen

TLDR : Answer Summary
If you leave Thailand before completing 90 days on your long-term visa and return after 4 or 5 days, the 90-day reporting period will reset. You will have a new 90-day count starting from your re-entry date. Make sure to obtain a re-entry permit before leaving and remember to file a new TM30 form upon your return.

Yes starts again. As mentioned already make sure you have exit/re-entry permit.

Also keep in mind you are supposed to to do a new TM30 upon your return

Yes it works like Tod says - the expert -

Just make sure you have a re-entry permit !

Whether you even do a 90 day report or not depends on the visa/extension you're on while you're here

Now if you're on a long term visa/extension where you are obligated to do a 90 day report it works like this

If you're in the country for 90 continuous days you are obligated to file a 90 day report. You can file a 90 day report in person from 2 weeks before until 1 week after your due date.

HOWEVER

If you leave the country before the 90th day, the "count down clock" stops when you stamp out and when you return to thailand your NEXT 90 day report would be due 89 days from the date you stamp in, (the day you stamp in is day one) ๐Ÿ™‚
