Seeking advice please. Does your employment contract need to state ‘remote’ work for a DTV visa or would ‘home based’ suffice?

TLDR : Answer Summary
For obtaining a DTV visa in Thailand, your employment contract must explicitly state that you are working remotely. While the term 'home based' might convey a similar meaning, it is advisable to use 'remote' or 'remote work in Thailand' to ensure compliance with visa regulations. Moreover, the contract should indicate that you will not engage in any local employment with Thai businesses or individuals.

Definitely needs to explicitly state remote work and ideally remote work in Thailand with no Thai business entities or individuals.

It needs to state that you’re able to work remotely in Thailand and that you will not engage in employment in Thailand with any Thai employer or business
