TLDR : Answer Summary
A user recently shared their experience of obtaining a DTV visa as a business owner through the Sydney consulate, having submitted their application on November 21 and receiving approval on December 1. They provided details on required documentation, including proof of location through a driver's license, a two-month bank statement, an employment contract, company registration, and a cover letter. They noted no additional documents were requested during the application process. Other users are asking for clarification on employment contracts for business owners, proof of income requirements, and whether documents were submitted in person or online.

A question please. As the business owner did you write your own employment contract and what did you state in it if you don’t mind me asking? I am in a similar situation where I own / am director of the business but I don’t actually have an employment contract as such (ie no contract with myself). Besides bank statements was proof of income documentation required? I know you didn’t mention that above but just checking. Thanks in advance.

hey mate yes, I wrote an employment contract from my pty Ltd company to myself as director and signed by the director (myself) - it stated my role as director and what I do etc specifically for my business - also states paid in dividends on profit 2 times a year and that all the specific responsibilities can be managed remotely + just generic employment contract stuff. Proof of income wasn’t required, I also wrote a cover letter. In there I also put links to both websites I own incase they want to check that. Good luck 🤙

I have a question. Does the bank account statement have to show income or just that you have had the required amount for the visa? I am going to apply for DTV in Oz and am going to use my bank account that has the required money in, but l don't transact from it. My pay etc goes into a different account. Thanks!

just at least the required amount from my experience, I heard other people being asked for proof of earnings recently in other posts. I just made sure everything I sent was in order and not sloppy looking but for me the account statement I sent also is not where my money comes in and out business wise/earnings. Good luck 👍
